The nationwide countdown to the 17th May is officially on! We’ve had our first glimpses of life after lockdown since the 12th April, and the warmer weather is giving us plenty of hope for what’s to come from the amazing range of hotels, bars & restaurants ready to welcome you again during a well-earned #staycation. We wanted to shout out some of our favourites to return to, as we’ve witnessed how hard teams across the country have been working to prepare for the return of their beloved guests. Novotel Canary Wharf
Fancy the chance to see all of London without ever having to leave your room? This is one of London’s true hidden gems. The hotel the tallest in the UK with 39 floors offering an excellent range of private suites, comfortable rooms, spa facilities and an out-of-this-world rooftop bar & restaurant (you’ll want to hear about this!)
It’s the perfect destination to make you feel like you’re seeing the world in a different country, with plenty of comforts and an ideal location to explore your new surroundings by foot, or just a short tube ride into central London.

Bokan & Bokan Bar
It’s difficult to put into words the feeling you get when you first step out of the elevator to the 37th & 38th floors of the UK’s tallest hotel, and we highly encourage you to try it for yourselves! You’ll be welcomed with a stunning modern décor, 360° views of London and live music evenings when things get back to normal 🎤
The venue is spread across three modern, beautifully lit floors, with the restaurant & lounge on the 37th, followed by a fantastic cocktail bar on the 38th, and a picturesque roof terrace on the 39th.
The Cocktails feature a mix of London’s classics, as well as some more flamboyant tastes & garnishes. You can also enjoy plenty of lighter bar bites here, straight from the famous kitchen below. You may also be pleased to hear that the terrace has just been partnered with Bottega, so you can expect the Champagne to flow! 🍾
Bokan
If you thought the views were good, the food will take your breath away! You’ll never get tired of seeing Chef Guillaume and his team prepare fresh, authentic cuisine that takes inspiration from French roots, as well as the rich history of the global trade that used to flow from the Docklands. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a special occasion or a pleasant surprise for a loved one. We’re warning you now, you won’t want to leave!

Novotel Cardiff
Can’t wait to try somewhere new for your next getaway? This one’s for you! Thanks to the lockdown rules in Wales, this centrally located hotel is open to guests again under the safest possible conditions (search ALLSAFE for more). Set among the rich history of the local area in the Bute Docks, you’ll be able to enjoy plenty of relaxing walks along the water and enjoy the reopening of the bars & restaurants that call this historic area home.
You’ll also be able to enjoy the amazing dishes cooked up by Chef Rayan at The Customs Shed restaurant, set inside a refurbished train yard for a fitting nod to local area’s heritage.
